English Requirements

The language of instruction at WesternIC is English. Before being granted admission into any program at WesternIC, you must demonstrate a suitable level of English proficiency. This can be done by obtaining one of the results shown in the tables below. Individual band scores apply.

Professional Master’s English Entry Requirements 

English Boost (MQP A Option)

If you meet the English Boost language and the relevant academic requirements, you will begin the Master’s Qualifying Pathway and will take English Boost in your first term of study.

Direct Entry (MQP B Option)

If you meet the direct entry English language and the relevant academic requirements, you will be eligible for direct entry to the Master’s Qualifying Pathway (MQP).  

Students are eligible to complete an additional 0.5 credit graduate level academic course upon Direct entry into the MQP.

  • WesternIC reserves the right to require applicants with an English Language Proficiency score disparate from their academic English prerequisite achievement to present further evidence of proficiency.
