English Requirements

All applicants whose first language is not English must provide formal documentation demonstrating that they meet English Language Proficiency requirements of WesternIC. Specific test options are as follows, including individual band scores:

Important Notes:

  • Applicants must submit English test results at the time of application.
  • WesternIC reserves the right to request additional evidence of English proficiency if an applicant’s English Language Proficiency (ELP) test score does not align with their academic English prerequisite achievement.
  • All submitted test results must have been completed within the last two years.
  • Applicants who have studied for two or more years at a university in one of the below accepted Countries with English as the principal language must still submit ELP test results completed within the last five years. These may be the same results used for their undergraduate application.
  • Applicants who completed two or more years of high school and a four-year undergraduate degree in one of the below accepted Countries with English as a Principal Language are exempt from the ELP requirement and are not required to submit test results.
