The Master of Data Analytics (MDA) in Western’s Faculty of Science is a full-time, professional graduate program that prepares students with the technical expertise, professional skills and real-world experience needed to succeed in today’s data-driven workforce.

Students in the Master of Data Analytics program choose one of three Specialty Fields:
Program Overview
Applicants to the Master of Data Analytics may enter the program through one of three pathways:
- Standard Entry – Complete the program in three terms (12 months)
- Master’s Qualifying Pathway (MQP) Entry– Complete the program in four terms (16 months)
- Designed for applicants who meet academic standards for the MDA program but require additional English-language proficiency or are missing one to two undergraduate prerequisite courses. This pathway facilitates a smooth transition into full-time graduate workload.
- Advanced Graduate Pathway (AGP) Entry – Complete the program in five terms (20 months)
- Designed for applicants who are missing required undergraduate courses for admission to the MDA program. Students complete three to four prerequisite courses and upgrade English-language proficiency if needed. This pathway provides the academic foundation necessary for success in the program.
